E36 M3 (electric) track car

So I stopped over to DynoTech Motorsports today(a local Indy shop), to have some work done on my car.

Fuel TV, just happens to be there shooting a E36 M converted to fully electric.

This car is powered by 400kw, and I believe, 250V.

Results from the dyno showed 350hp and 850tq at 600 rpm.

Pretty amazing car. Attachment 505571Attachment 505572Attachment 505573Attachment 505574Attachment 505575

Me and my dad put an A/C 55 electric motor and 105 lithium ion 3.7volt batteries in his 65' long sailboat. Its a 50,000lbs blue water cruiser so not meant to be fast on motor just reliable, clean, and quiet. The best part is the motor becomes a silent power plant when sailing and makes all the electricity you need by regen. When prices get in my reach i want to do a car.

That's more than a 30% loss in the drivetrain

What's your logic? Srs.

I guess it's about 900lbs heavier than an actual e36 m3.

The motor controller also needs cooling. the one we used a tritium wavesculpture is watercooled with radiator but some are just aircooled.
