Impressions on the lowering perch for the front struts and the thinner rear upper coil pad? Will be installing Bilstein HD's. Just looking for a bit less fender gap.

Are the h&r's seriously that bad to the point where they can't be tolerated during daily driving. The roads here aren't perfect, but they'r not too too horrible either.

They are noticeably harsher than any others (other than coilovers). I'd say they fail the coffee cup test.

Ok well how about this? Can you change to e36 rear shocks and leave the rest of the suspension the same? Like stock springs and struts? I have leaky shocks but not enough money to do the whole thing yet

Yup. Your ride height and ride quality is not substantially affected by changing the damper (shock/strut).

Oh I thought ride quality would be a lot different with those.

Then just run Bilstein HD's. They have a good warranty if they start leaking. If you're not driving overly aggressively, you should be just fine.

Nice, I just got my Koni's this week, along with H&R Sport springs, installing this weekend. Hopefully goes smoothly, along with a bunch of fun maintenance items

H&R lists separate part numbers for Xi wagon and sedan applications while Eibach just lists a part number for Xi sedans. Can anyone confirm the Eibach Xi sedan springs will work on an Xi wagon?

Hope you have an impact wrench, makes taking the lower strut bolts off much easier.

Shawdow, let me know your impressions of the H&R's, I'm going to make the decision in a couple weeks. I have to wrap up doing the DS Tie-Rod as the boot was torn and I had to wait for it to arrive!

There's no difference in OEM parts so the sedan ones will work. The different H&R springs might be to carry extra load in the rear but the sedan ones will fit.
