How to get some power out of an xi?

So I bought a e46 330xi almost a year ago and there nice awd cars and all but what can I do to get a little more power out of it since swapping a motor isn't really the way to go... It seems like there is absolutely nothing performance wise or much of anything for this car really. Any good websites?

BMW Performance intake, bimmer brakes headers and a tune will yield you some results, not very cheap though. Sadly there aren't any crazy bolt on performance mods you can do for our cars. I'd put the money into suspension and maintenance where you'll really feel a difference.

^ This.

Sadly that's a very expensive way to make maybe 30 more horsepower out of your car. The only "cheap" way to get a lot more power is a supercharger.

I hear the best improvement on any car is taking it to a track event (DE) and learn how to drive it. This is what I want to do with my 911 someday.

Yeah... I was joking... It is garbage. I've heard similar horror stories. I can't believe anyone would buy that crap thinking it actually worked!

A quality supercharger kit won't blow the engine up. There are TONS of people on this forum running supercharged 330's for years without issues. A kit will run you ~$4k brand new with all necessary parts.

You can't run 700hp out of that engine but you can easily add 100-150hp without an issue.

I have a buddy that is working on a $1000 turbo build for his 325i that's almost complete, just fine tweaking the tune. So realistically you can make safe power for close to nothing if you know what you're doing.

In future news, BMW 325i available for part out. Bad engine and transmission.

Maybe if he was running ridiculous boost and an auto transmission, but he's not doing either, and he knows how to tune.
