camera body vs. lens dilemma

i have a firstworldproblem right now

so i have the canon t2i
it's fine for my needs as a hobbyist just taking photos for friends and family
i have the 10-22mm, 28mm, 50mm, and 18-55mm lenses
mainly keep the 10-22 on camera and carry the 28 in the bag
no flash yet but i have been looking at the 430ex II

i was originally looking at buying the 24-105L lens since all my other lens are shorter and the 24-105L seems to be a good lens at a good price (found one used locally for $670)

BUT ...
-----
now my sister has started her jewelry business (my parents are in the business and she is doing an offshoot on her own)
i took some test photos for her using a friend's 100mm f2.8L macro lens before
i need to learn a few things regarding the flash setup and build a box or something but it's doable with the t2i + 100L

so my sister is willing to buy the 100L lens for me (on a semi-permanent loan status) since i will take photos for her
and in the process she wants to learn so that she can also take the photos herself using my camera
-----

so since my sister is willing to buy the 100L lens for me NOW ... i'm thinking maybe i should upgrade to a full frame camera like a 5D mk II or 6D (both would have to be used)
why do i want a full frame? mainly low light shooting since i find myself in such situation often
and also to be able to take full advantage of some of the better lenses

but it is still something that is too expensive for me to just jump into as it is just a hobby
i've seen the 5D mk II sell for anywhere from $1100-1400 used, i see a 6D for sale $1575
so anyway
that's my dilemma

input?
also if you think i should jump into a FF, what other cameras should i be looking at? there is the 1D mk III?

Well... I've got a 5D mk.I and 24-105 I need to offload if you'd like to grab it.

I'm a Canon man myself(prefer the EF mount for video reasons) but the photos my friends have been pumping out with the D800 are staggering, so if you're looking at that route I'd vote d800. The problem is, if you do opt to buy a new FF body, you won't be able to use any of those ef-s lenses of yours. So the only thing you could shoot with would be the 100 your sister buys, seems a bit limiting, so now you're talking d800 and 24-70, or a mark 2 and 24-105, either way, it's a pretty penny, but a worthy upgrade IMO.

i can do the mount swap for the 10-22mm and keep using it on FF
and hey! don't ignore my 28mm f1.8 EF

too bad you don't have a 5D mk II to sell
i looked at the 5Dc for sale on POTN the past two weeks ... there were two of them for sale for $500-$550 each
but i decided to pass

Partly because the 5Dc doesn't do video
Since I need to sell the t2i to offset the cost of upgrade, it is important that the new body can do video

if you go FF, you will need to invest in top glass as well to get the benefits. 5dmk2 is a good option at this point, but it's still about $1k more than your T2i. Don't fall into the whole "need best equipment for best results" gimmick. Many pros still use older XXD bodies and create fantastic photos. Invest in glass. Get something 1.4-2.8 and you should be able to get great photos as long as you know what you are doing. 17-55 2.8 is a fantastic lens, so is 24-70 V1. Look into 3rd party as well. Sigma 35 1.4 or 50 1.4 is worth every penny. Body will always drop in price, so if you can hold off and invest into a lens (that doesn't lose value) then I would go that route until you learn how to use light and your camera together.

Glass will be more important than the body 99% of the time (unless you're a sports photographer.) I always try to invest in primes, as they almost never go down in value. Just make sure to get a fantastic deal and keep it in perfect condition. You might even make some money reselling it

You just started shooting a few months ago. Invest in glass and experience before dropping more cash on FF, it really isn't necessary. If you're dead set on spending money, take some classes or buy books and get better at your technique before investing in more equipment.

Everyone makes sense
Yeah, I don't need a ff
I will settle for a zoom lens
Having a hard time deciding between the 24-105L and 24-70L version 1

If you're looking for a full frame to play around with, buy a Canon Elan IIe. It's a film body but it's my absolute favorite body. It has eye-control focus. If you put some Kodak Ektar film in it, you will NOT be sorry. It's compatible with all EF lenses, just not EF-S lenses. I use mine instead of my 60D almost all the time now.

I have the 24-105 and love it. The max of F4 is kind of a drag in darker rooms but I have a 50 F1.4 for that very reason. IS is fantastic for every day use.

24-70L all day.

It's my go-to (5dmk2).
