For sale: 5Dc + 24-105L, Fuji X Pro 1 + 35 F1.4

I'm selling everything off to finally get on the Leica bus, unfortunately even with selling everything I'm still going to have quite an ample bill (their cheaper 50 is $2300.. A used M9 body, almost $4k)

The fuji, as of right now has 3675 actuations, and the 5D, a paltry 5547 (given its age).

Fuji X pro 1 + Fujifilm XF 35mm F1.4: $1450.00 Shipped.

Canon 5D "Classic" + Canon EF 24-105mm F4 L: $1400.00 Shipped.

Why are you changing to Leica? How will it improve the quality of your shots?

I think images from a 5D Mark II or III will be better than an M9.

I've got a Mk.III for video and work (I never use it), it's a technically great camera, but it does nothing for me artistically, the Leica image has more character, something different from image quality. I've found autofocus to miss my mark, since the overwhelming majority of my photos are taken on the fly (no pun intended).

Because of that I shoot almost everything in full manual, and at no point was that easier than using a Leica with an actual rangefinder mechanism. My Fuji gets close, but it's by using the EVF and magnifying an area to confirm focus. I also started to long for a FF sensor again, and after Gabe so graciously lent me an M9, noctilux, and summicron, it became apparent the "Leica look" was very much a real thing, it had what I found all my other images lacking, they gained a whole new dimension, feeling almost 3D; that's why I'm getting a Leica!

Also I would be getting the new M and calling it good, but they're back ordered for god knows how long, so the M9 will hold me over until I can finally get my hands on a type 240.

I got ya. I guess I do so much work in CS6 I don't notice the "look" of one camera over another. I do really like your photographs though so I am sad to see your gear go =)

I generally don't either, for all I know a lot of it could be in my head, but hey, whatever inspires, right? I certainly felt inspired the moment I started using it. And thank you very much for the kind words, hopefully you'll like the new Leica based photos even more.

Definitely a great little camera, though being honest I've never moved beyond the 35mm I got with it (though I certainly intended to), which makes it not all that much different for your x100. The big thing I think would be the X-trans sensor, which is quite the slick piece of kit.

Though if you did ever pick up a more telephoto lens, it would be the portrait machine! I should've mentioned it'll have an M Mount adaptor with it, enabling you to play with whatever weird old cool glass you may come across.
