Suspension question...

Kinda new at suspension issues.. But I need to replace one shock/spring ... So since I have to do both rear, I have a question .. I can but all sachs oem again, but even the oem springs (for two) would be more than any spring kit on any website ..

Can I get oe shocks and aftermarket springs? Even if its to lower? What would you recommend?

I don't have thousands of dollars for shocks & struts, but the bilstein hd aren't bad money; are there any hocks that aren't much money that you recommend?

Thanks, appreciate the answers .

I think I'm going with the koni STR.t. They are reviewed as close to OEM ride and are very affordable. Lifetime warranty, They are also compatible with a minimal lowering spring. You might want to research them as an option for your needs. Please report your decision and review. Good Luck

FYI, I used lowering springs with stock height Monroe shocks/struts and I'm not happy. Save for the right combo because now I'm gonna have to spend more money on aftermarket shocks and struts and you will too. Also while you're in there, make sure you change your strut mounts, you have to take them out anyway while swapping so just do it all at once.

Don't pair lowering springs with OE or OEM shocks, they aren't valved properly for them. You would have to use a shock that could handle the lower ride height like a Bilstein Sport or HD.

I carry Suplex OE replacement springs though. PM me if you want a quote.
