Trying to figure out what this part is

I was involved in an accident recently which caused damage on my front bumper. The bumper broke in half and I found myself needing to replace the bumper. I found further damage with the fog light connections, as well as one more part which I can not identify and need you assistance in doign so:

please see the attached pictures. the fogs have the brown/yellow wires, but what is the other part for?

this is on a 2002 bmw 330ci

Confusing pics. Are the wires coming from under the hood?
Back up, and post better pics.

This is coming out of the fog light area from the new bumper just installed. I know that the brown and yellow wiring is the fog light connection. but im wondering what the brown and purple wiring is for?

Passenger side is the sensor for windshield nozzles and mirror heaters.

It clips in to the inner fender liner.
Search for hockey puck sensor and you will get the answer.

Looks like the wires just pulled out of the plug though. You might be able to put them back in the pins. The other two plugs are most likely the horn and the fog lights
