Tracks in MA, NH where I can open her up?

I hear all these people talking about tracks and places where they can go and try out their cars perfomance. Are there any places around the MA/NH area, how much and are they events or can you just go? What kind of cars usually show up?

You have to sign up for specific events.

You will see everything from a Suzuki Swift to half million dollar Ferraris and everything inbetween.
