verts are less prone to failure but i have 108k miles and got it checked at 100k miles the dealership said it was fine.

I've got 50,000 miles on my 2005 330ci vert. Dealer inspected the subframe and they found no problems.

1999 328i, 160k miles, dealer just checked today and found no problems. Car has been on 18's it's entire life with factory sport package.

2001 330i 5 speed. 136k kms (85k miles). Been running 18" wheels with 255 series tires in the back since 2008. Car has been SC-ed now for last 6k kms and just got Eibach ProKit a week ago. So far no issues.

330ci 03 manual with almost 100k miles on it still no problems at all, I havent had it checked out but I have been cleaing it and checking it myself very thourgly and there is no signs of stress or cracks

2005 330i ZHP 6 speed. Stock suspension. Fold down rear seats. Currently at 69k miles, BMW and my indy examined rear subframe at about 58k miles. Not only did they not find any signs whatsoever of cracking, but the BMW dealer claimed it was one of the cleanest E46s they have ever seen

156K and no subframe damage, but Im gonna be throwing in a ACT Extreme Clutch and lighter flywheel so we will see what happens!

Until yesterday, not subframe problems. Today--just found a crack that needs repair.
Car has never been driven aggressively.

2001 330i 5sp pre-facelift owned since February 2013, second owner. No subframe issues. Did replace drooling OFHG and need to replace VCG for a hidden rear minor drip. All on all tip-top!

2001 325i, manual, non folding rear seats, 210k+ on the chassis, past 13k miles with an S54

I should have welded in the reinforcement kit when the M3 rear was swapped in but it's still looking good and I beat the sh!t out of it.

Aug/99 build date 323ci. Steptronic with 160K. lowered with eibach pro kit, koni yellows, front strut bar and 18's staggered.
It gets driven aggresively through canyon roads. Subframe gets checked at every oil change intervals of 7,500 miles. As of last oil change, no issues.

2004 325 convertible, 106k miles, stock (and worn out - on my to do list) suspension, no sub frame issues (inspected at 104k miles).
