Wow! Thanks for the all the feedback. Haven't been on the PC for a while, hence my late reply.

This is all pretty new to me, so I figure NEW...to kind be 100% safe. But with the input in this thread, I think I'll take a ride to the shop tomorrow and ask to take the display.

Again, thanks for all the information. I feel kind of dumb anxiously waiting for the past week or so, when there was no issue with the display (as you guys are saying).

Lesson-learned (and definitely appreciated!)

Your not going to be able to hurt a glock by holding it. Me and some buddies have a couple that we try to destroy...no luck so far.

They will stop running after they get really really dirty but there easy to clean. This 34 we had been throwing at a rock/dirt wall and letting it fall 20 feet for a good part of the day.

A number of years ago, Gaston Glock visited a range where their then head trainer, Joel Hodges, was holding a Glock Firearms Instructor certification course. Gaston goes driving up with a car along the gravel road, stops and gets out, walks about 20ft back behind his vehicle and picks up the Glock 17 he was dragging behind the car with a rope. Loads it and goes onto the range and lets loose with it. No problems.
Gotta give the guy credit for having that amount of confidence in his product.

Would you buy a handgun that was on display?

My father and I are looking into a couple shopping centers in Florida to buy, brings in good rent. Might lease out my stuff here and become a Florida resident sooner than expected

I opted for the display model this past Saturday. Unfortunately, wasn't able to negotiate any extras (Oh well, I tried!). I pick-up on the 25th and I'm excited!

The work was extremely friendly and helpful (Turner's).

Again, thanks for all the feedback and getting my head straight! Otherwise, I would be waiting for another 6-7 weeks (as I was told)! That would've been an eternity!
