My Ride: BMW 325i 2005
Rear Turn Signal Color

I own a BMW E46 2005 325i and I recently replaced the brake lights myself. (The cover not the bulbs). I got rid of the yellow housing on the outside (as I have already done on the front turn signals), however unlike the front where you can purchase a yellow bulb or "stealth bulb," I can't seem to locate any for the rear brake lights.

First - Is it possible to have stealth bulbs in the rear, or am I stuck with clear bulbs because it appears the rear turn signals are shared with the rear backing up lights.

Second - If it's possible, what type of bulb is needed, where can I purchase. A DIY instruction may be helpful as well.

I hesitated to get the LED brake lights at first because I had issues with the LED front corner lights where they were blinking on both sides no matter which way the turn signal was flashing. (the opposite side would blink dimmer). LEDs would give me the color I'm looking for. I am looking for yellow to flash for any turn signals - however, if this can be done without replacing the whole brake light again, that would be best.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Tada!

And if one of them craps out early, you've got 2 extra lying around Just keep them in your trunk. That's what I did with my old bulbs, just in case.
