E46- Tranny blew again after rebuild 2 months ago!

2000 323i, had the tranny rebuilt 2 months ago for $3,000. I lost reverse, after opening up the tranny my mechanic discovered a broken D-drum(reverse drum). We opted for a total tranny rebuild with new steels and frictions.

Did not replace the valve bodies, since that did not seem to be the issue. Now the car is not going forward or reverse- AGAIN! less than 2 months later.

Mechanic says no warranty since I bought the parts my self!!!

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated

Would consider selling it because I have put a ton of money in to it already. It has many upgrades so just trying to figure it all out.

Only suggestion, stay the hell away from that mechanic if he's going to stand behind nothing. At the least, he could look at it and figure out what broke, do any of the parts have warranty on them from purchase? (Doubtful, but hey, never know)

He told me that I had to pay him for the labor of dropping the tranny again and looking into it. I don't even ever want to go back to him ever.
