it will just clear using manifold, turbo, and the extension. I believe the expansion tank is right where the turbo would go, that would have to be relocated. Other than that, if you have fab skills, you can make it work to your liking.

Where exactly would you like a measurement? Yep stock engine, I just got a slightly thicker head gasket to lower the compression, and raceware studs. In-short, you will be fine. the 60 trim turbo is a great match, saw full boost before 3000rpms.

I think it can't fit
this are my pics, I have here antifreeze and DSC

I need bottom mount turbo manifold - may be you know who does it?

what head gasket do you use and compression in result? how much is ignition degrees retard?

thats a bummer, your DSC would probably be flush with the intake to the turbo as top-mount. SPA makes a good manifold for bottom mount, I'm actually using one.
Now u may think $530 bucks is steep when there are other much cheaper (under $200) manifolds on ebay, that look similar, but there are 3 things wrong with them ( I had one):
- the casting is mediocre inside where they connect to the t3 flange.
- the wastegate flange is poorly located facing the firewall, (leaving an inch to make a 90 degree bend with 1.5" wastegate pipe (just about impossible)
- and finally the cheap manifolds have the turbo sit lower, (so it will be a greater chance with drain issues, and if you have a 4" intake on turbo u may hit the cross member from being to low)

I had about 15 degrees of timing, but the whole timing sync was off so the whole time it was retarted, not sure about how much off, I have to make timing mark and timing light and get some references

For the headgasket I ran http://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac-...mls-p1072.aspx at .040" which only slightly lowered my compression, but if you really want see the limit of the stock block, I'd recommend getting a .140" thick HG, that will dramatically lower compression, in to the 9s

thank you!
as I think limit of the stock block in M54B25 are connecting rods, may be pistons and crank, in M54B30 crank very good (the same as in S52), connecting rods capable up to ~400 hp, pistons don't know.

I think about stroking out to B30 with stock internals, add head gasket .098" or .140", use SPA turbo manifold for bottom mount of Garrett GTX3582R and cheap universal FMIC intercooler package with SAMCO silicone hoses.

your welcome. may I ask where you got the info that 400hp is the limit for connecting rods? I've seen videos of a stock block m50 motor (with .140" HG and arp head studs) brake little over 700hp before something give'd.

I'm going to push the limit myself my new turbo will kill my engine quickly since its good for 740hp I'll be building a m54b30 on the side, soon.

Good luck with your future build.

connecting rods in M54B30 are from M52B28 and in M50 used another, guys with e30 turbo goes ~500 hp and something was broken that used from M54B30, piston or connecting rod, I don't remember exactly

do you use boost controller? stock dme with tune? and how did you connect BOV with TB or some another scheme?

thank you!

hum, well Im hoping for 400whp on the dyno, cross my fingers nothing gives.

I'm using a electronic boost controller. Its a stand alone EMS, Pro EFI. Hopefully the picture is self explanatory

if you want will be 400 whp (on M54B25, what boost?)

thanks I see! so you drilled TB and use wireline, what a pity no pics of TB modificated

also I suggest you start your own topic with build description and photos - it's great!

I'd be in the range of 10-14psi, with moderate timing and a 6266 turbo should get me there

I never mod'ed the TB, just have a 2.5" to 3" coupler over it, along with a 1" coupler to the ICV.

I have somewhat of a thread of my build here

As an easy install thats straight forward. since they make a harness to be plug N play. depending what version of the ECU kit you get its just a matter of tapping into your fuel line, manifold, exhaust with the included sensors and a base map. then U just need to tweak the tune.

I only have the TCD exhaust manifold and custom made t4-t3 adapter (angled to properly fit next to valve cover)

At this point I'll entertain prices for my current turbo setup with EVERYTHING fabricated
