I would keep an eye out on which cameras you might want to get. D90 uses the same OS as the current Nikon DSLR. So I wouldn't worry about it being a few years old. Cameras are like cars. They will all get you from point A to B.

Every day I check on http://dealmac.com/ for any deals. Sometimes Adorama and B&H photo will send out emails with deals that you can't search for on their site.

@Glockman It's widely known that Canon has better video capturing. I don't think much has changed since Nikon D90 came out. However, Nikon has made improvements on video.

I played with a d7000... Dedicated buttons :-)

Much nicer....price tag not so much lol

Remember, all of the cameras can take great pictures but it comes down to how YOU use the camera to the fullest. The D5200 will be more than enough. At least if you get that you can swap lens with your friend and you two can buy different lenses to save on cost.

I completely agree, it just seems the small things are nice...really just the dedicated buttons. Eh I can't go wrong one way or another. I have another week or two before I buy anything.
