windows problem - used system restore and it changed my username? locked out

huge problem here - used windows system restore (had some issues with windows), flashed back a year ago and somehow it changed my username. i'm locked out of windows and can't log-in.

any thoughts?

- booted into safe mode and it's asking for a password to "fry's electronics" - can't log-in.
- thought sys restore shouldnt impact user profies? i.e - didn't expect the user/password to change?
- this is all on windows 7 home premium

Don't know what version of windows you're on, but try booting in safe mode. You may be able to log in as 'Administrator'.

Also, if that doesn't work, search around for a windows password reset utility. It will create a bootable disc that will allow you to reset the password on your current accounts.

"fry's electronics"

Maybe call fry's where you purchased this showroom model and ask for PW?

Hopefully as long as you have blank cd/dvd and another computer a bootable disk would be the best choice, unless you just install again and move all your stuff from windows.old and re-install everything.

This.. I use it about 2 times a year. About a month ago I saw some guy throw a Laptop in the trash.. It has a busted power jack, that's all. So I got it fired up, blanked out the password, logged in as him and found that he likes to search for gay porn at 4 in the afternoon.
