Not sure if this is dumb or not but also painted the rear rotor hats black since they were rusty.

After wearing them in.... all I can say is GOD DAMN!

Got pulled over as I was doing the wear in and the exact line of the cop was " Sir, your brakes are smoking, did you need me to call a tow Truck?"

LOL

Thats awesome! This is the setup I'm thinking of when its time to do my breaks here soon.

Just finished the second coat of wax, Collinite 845. Applied conditioner on the leather.
Should be good for the summer now with only regular washes unless the bird decides to take a dump on my car.
Also got a generic sunshade for the windshield. 100 degrees weather is not helping at all.

I spent 5 minutes cleaning mine and it was pretty much like your new vs old. Do you get any better range for lock/unlock?

I think the camera exaggerates any dirt. Not only is my "old" key cleaned regularly and thoroughly, its face is from my 2006 E46 which I got brand new. I cut my 2002 key and put a 2006 face on it, in other words.

Range is noticeably improved, but not by any substantial amount

* What did you do to/for your E46 today? *

Painted one pair of the Miros need to have the others swapped with my spare rubber as one is punctured then paint those too. No sense in spraying white before they get all filthified down at the San Jose $25 per wheel swap it shop, love those bastids. Swapping bbs off to send them out for blast cleaning and powder coat as had tired of my insufficient (covering up previous owners even worse rattle can) body color match ( not enough clear leads to look of constant dustiness). Haven't decided on color for the CHs, torn a bit for orient blue car. Part of me says go back to classics silver but I've deliberately removed/wrapped all chrome trim etc. Im thinking maybe bright fluorescent orange or tennis ball fluorescent green. Will tickle all the Jdm nazis to death either way.

Ordered a torque wrench so I don't have to borrow from a friend and do the OFHG finally.
