Am I crazy?

For wanting to buy a civil war, a REAL civil war era colt 1860 revolver and carry it at work?

It's not going to be a every day sorta thing, I have a Wilson CQB and a Nighthawk GRP for that.

I just like to be odd from time to time...Carried a german luger (that fits in my glock 19 IWB kydex holster btw) some last week.

Personal defense is an area of my life I don't like to fuck around in. I understand working for a gun store it might be a fashion statement but you never know if that's the day you'll need it (god forbid).

Im gonna have to agree with this. Carrying is life and death, and I'd think I'd want something modern with almost zero chance of malfunction.

This! I couldn't imagine trying to engage an active shooter with a single action six shooter...

Carry that OWB for all to see, for the cool factor, but keep something newer on your ankle or something in case you find a need to transition.

Re: Am I crazy?

It will possibly provoke a decent amout of interest as a conversation piece. Try to be diligent with your firearm safety when you are pulling it out to show off to curious people. I'm sure you will get more questions about that then you would a Glock or other common firearm.

There's always a chance of malfunction, even with an AK or a Glock. But I carry a glock to reduce my chance of malfunction.

That's why I said "almost" zero chance.
