lowering suspension upgrade

i believe my shocks are dead on the rear so im thinking of lowering my car and just buying a full suspension...trying to spend around 800...whats good out there? teins? buddy club? megan? its a daily driver and i dont race or track.

Great combo! Much better than the Eibach springs they try to sell you in some packages. There is a reason why they basically give away the Eibach springs in those sets, and it's not because they are your buddies.

A very popular combination and easy on the wallet is:

Bilstein Struts and shocks
H&R Springs (Sports or Race)

Note: You may need these to properly remove the stock struts and install the new ones: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=993857%22

you dont need a special tool for the top nut - loosen while the strut is still on the car, take it off completely AFTER spring is compressed

curious as to what is wrong with Eibach springs now? and i'm not trying to start something, just never heard there was an issue with Eibach springs recently?

Yes, the majority does do it this way but its not the proper way. Your are still spinning the strut's shaft and exposing it to internal damages. I am guilty of this as well.

And... not everyone have access to pneumatic tools to be able to loosen it without the specialty socket. Even with the pneumatic, you can still spin the shaft.

Agreed. I have fsd/eibach pro kit and the set up is my favorite of all my cars i have had.
