Scam a Craigslist scammer?

I recently enquired about something on Craigslist. The buying price being thousands under suggested pricing. Anyway to make a long story short, after receiving an email back, I realize its a scam. My dad was recently almost scammed trying to sell a car on autotrader. It's annoying. Not because I loose. But because it gets my hopes up. Lol.
So here's the deal, I want to scam the scammer. I want to stick it to them. I have some ideas as to how to go about it but there's some clever people on here so I want input. In the end, I want money put into my Paypal account. I do not want my bank account seized. And I do not want a traceable claim made on my real account.
So have at at. Tell me how you'd scam the scammer.

Also the money I plan on trying to get will be between $50 and $100. Obviously I'd want more but I think those values are reasonable considering the item I was potentially scammed with was a couple grande.

No scammer will send you money from his actual personal account. If he does it will be from a stolen paypal account.

Just move on and don't waste your time on this.

Re: Scam a Craigslist scammer?

I just recently almost got scammed but cancelled the transaction last second since I had a gut feeling. Good thing, but boy did it piss him off. Then I was just ****ing with him after that till he moved on.

Dear Sir:

I have been requested by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company to contact you for assistance in resolving a matter. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company has recently concluded a large number of contracts for oil exploration in the sub-Sahara region. The contracts have immediately produced moneys equaling US$40,000,000. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company is desirous of oil exploration in other parts of the world, however, because of certain regulations of the Nigerian Government, it is unable to move these funds to another region.

You assistance is requested as a non-Nigerian citizen to assist the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, and also the Central Bank of Nigeria, in moving these funds out of Nigeria. If the funds can be transferred to your name, in your United States account, then you can forward the funds as directed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company. In exchange for your accommodating services, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company would agree to allow you to retain 10%, or US$4 million of this amount.

However, to be a legitimate transferee of these moneys according to Nigerian law, you must presently be a depositor of at least US$100,000 in a Nigerian bank which is regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

If it will be possible for you to assist us, we would be most grateful. We suggest that you meet with us in person in Lagos, and that during your visit I introduce you to the representatives of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, as well as with certain officials of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Please call me at your earliest convenience at 18-467-4975. Time is of the essence in this matter; very quickly the Nigerian Government will realize that the Central Bank is maintaining this amount on deposit, and attempt to levy certain depository taxes on it.

Yours truly,

Prince Alyusi Islassis

I posted a brand new iPad for sale on craigslist a while back. I kept getting these lowball emails from some dude at least once a day. I finally replied I said I'd accept his offer, cash, picked up NOW then gave him some random address a couple hours away. I never heard back. But I hope he drove 3 hours for nothing.

Sometimes you say things and I'm like hey he isn't so bad.

Then you go and do this.

Come on.

Who's going to press charges? The scammer? I'll donate the money to a charity. Idc.
I'll maybe update this thread with the info later. Is this like a few select people doing this scam? Because it seems like the replies are from a template
