Another window question...

Hey guys,

So I have searched and been unable to find an answer to my question, so now I'm posting my question...

Both of my passenger windows do not roll down, it is not the regulator clips, as the window makes no sound when the switch is touched. With my test light on the drivers side wiring harness I can make the drivers side windows roll up and down, but when i try the same method with the passenger side it does not work. My key auto roll down works on driver side windows, but not passenger side.

My question is, even if I have a bad switch, wouldn't the keyfob still roll down my windows? Maybe the regulators on that side are just trash and are not working at all? Wiring from the switch to the door is bad? Gm5 module issue?

Thanks for any help!

if it makes no sound, that would lead me to believe that the motor isn't getting any power or the motor is bad itself. have they ever worked before? if they did, and they no longer do, what happened? have you taken the door apart? was it in a crash? do you have mice? a good diagnosis procedure would be to get a voltmeter and test certain connections after key components before and after the switch. switch engaged, check for shorts, check your grounds. maybe get a code reader that reads chassis codes? also on the cheapest side of things
swap the motors and test that, if the good motor doesn't work its further upstream from the motor... trying to get your ball rolling...

Ok thanks, also do you know if it was just a bad switch, would the keyfob still roll it down?
