Car is missing speakers. (HK system in coupe)

I recently purchased a 2000 328ci with HK. The car has very little to no bass at all. Even after switching the speaker button on and off (button located by DSC button).

I noticed that the car has all the speakers except the compartment that hangs in the trunk with the 2 6x9 speakers and amp. The amp was tucked away in one of the compartments but I didn't see any loose wires hanging that the 6x9s could have have been plugged into. If I just purchase some off of ebay where would I plug them into? I am assuming all I need is the compartment and speakers since it still has the amp?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hopefully whoever removed it took the wire harness and tucked it above the rear deck. If you purchase the subs you will probably get the amp attached since its all pretty much one piece.

So I should be looking for just one wiring harness somewhere in the rear deck?

Yea its one set of wires, about 8 or so. With a black connector on the end.

More than likely it was just unplugged because they were blown. First front midranges and then 6x9 subs. They are paper and foam and when the subs go it is very annoying to listen to it!
