Best bang for your buck performance upgrades?

I know there are many threads on this but w/e

originally I wanted to do the cosmetics first you know spinning rims and 0% window tint, cut exhaust pipe etc.

yes I realize that isn't even funny
I meant to say mtech2 front bumper, new hood, uhp projectors (possibly led other lights) a few others that I forgot

but I changed my mind
what do you consider the best performance upgrades besides F/I cause we all know that's the best hp/$ ratio

I have a 2001 330xi with 134k and I just did a bilstien/h&r sport suspension upgrade (which is very quite good indeed yes it is)
and besides the oil change that is due soon, the car is tight as of now
the rest of the car is stock except the black sport edition se-16s (not too shabby for $488 imo) and a k&n filter (not intake)

so now im looking to get into the engine section
whats your opinions on things like intakes, cam upgrades, shark injector, (or for that matter dme updating) things like that

let me know
thanks in advance

but really quick does anyone have any ideas on dme updating I saw something on it and apparently if you buy the cable and software on ebay (around $35) you can hook into your computer and wherever the firmware update can be had shall be had and installed over the dme. this person said the response on the throttle was much better among other things

heres the post

Aside from F/I, the best performance bang for your buck is either installing headers (if allowed in your state) or not doing anything at all and saving your money.

The M54 engine is already very good on performance and there isn't any low hanging fruit for cheap power.

There are enough threads on this, search through those and the answers are clear.
