this is the one I'm looking at now

http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/3911941971.html

Should be nice. They have everything you need, leather, the 4.6 V8, 4x4, locking hi/lo range center diff, limited slip diffs in the front and rear, and a rwd mode for shenanigans. Body lifts cost less than $50 if I want to do that. I'll get a 212 sub, remote start... idk. there's plenty of room for train horns or other ridiculous stuff. Should be a fun vehicle to screw around with

Haha. My dad used to get a new company car every like three years. Anything he wanted, all paid for, just as long as it fit in the budget for original price and was new. But then 2008 happened and they had to discontinue that. My sister's 328xi started out life as his last company car, but then he bought it from the company after the program ended.

Having a company vehicle is really nice. It's basically like adding another 12k to my salary every year.

I hate Ford..............why...............just because it's American. As soon as I can trade my explorer for an X5 I will.

hey, at least it's not general motors, who fcked up so bad they had to be bailed out by us. They filed for bankruptcy and received $33 billion. The filing reported US$82.29 billion in assets and US$172.81 billion in debt. So they basically had over two times as much debt than they had assets

I kind of hate GM...

I never said anything about being made in America, I said they were AMERICAN. The X5 is still a product of Bavaria. American "designed" cars just can't seem to step out of the sh1t box interior game.

Yeah... I cant really think of any American designed American cars with competitive interiors. But, dont forget european cars are on average quite a bit more expensive, so they should have better interiors.

Does your explorer have those stupid "touch" controls on the dash? with no buttons or anything...

Here's a pic of a window sticker. 25% of the parts are actually American, so it's really just assembled here...

I wont argue that. I just said I typically hate American cars because their interiors are cheap as sh1t. Feel and look cheap as sh1t.

Yes it does..............and they blow dick. Overall I like the sync system.

Yea yea, its just the first article I could find. I remember reading a much better and more detailed article about how it had shifted to American something or other.

Whatever.

I'll still buy whatever CAR(truck...) I like, no matter what the company or history of it is. I still want a supercharged E39 M5.

Don't get me wrong, I'll buy whatever car I like too, just not a sh1t box American car.

I can't say that I'm a huge fan of where the United States is going these days (In regards to everything). It sounds dumb but the thing I hate the most is that everyone in this country is satisfied with mediocrity. Everyone thinks they are entitled to something, thinks they deserve the same as the guy/girl next to them, when they don't work for it. We give to many people a free fvcking ride while others bust there ass for what they get. We give to many kids 8th place ribbons. 8 place means you suck, it shouldn't be celebrated. We should be teaching our kids, to work harder and get better at what ever it is they do. Don't be satisfied with 8th place, 8th place isn't gonna make you or anyone else better. This country is just going to sh1t.

END RANT.

Aside from your societal downfall rant, does that mean you'd drive a quality American car, or just that you think all American cars are **** quality?

Also Andy, BMW got a bailout from the German government, and Ford also got one from ours, they just werent as publicized
