How to clear memory on Parrot Bluetooth kit

Does anyone know how to clear the memory on a Parrot Bluetooth kit? I need to pair another phone to the kit but it tells me the memory is full. I actually have no idea what model the kit is, but it is integrated with the steering wheel controls.

Cheers, Brett

Brett, you'll need to take the glove box out to get to the BT controller itself. The memory can not be cleared using the steering wheel functions which is a pain. I think you hold down the call and release button at the same time. If not it's a CK3000, there is a PDF manual online.

Good luck with it. The glove box is a PITA to remove and reinstall.

Al good mate. GL with it.

How's the car otherwise, did you end up getting wheels for it?

It's going very well. Very happy, but am also itchy for more (M3). I'll look at some M3 replica wheels when these tyres give up the ghost.

M3's are over rated. Money pits! In all honesty, despite the money I've had to sink into mine I absolutely love it, will love it even more so when it's fixed next week.

They aren't for the feint hearted though. That 325 gave me no dramas whatsoever. So much so I basically looked for items that people suggested I replace and replaced them before they even showed signs of failure and I still had change left over for mods.

With the M3 I'm just trying to keep up with maintenance and fixing things. I'll eventually get to the same point but it's going to cost much more getting there.

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but I've just purchased the Connects2 and Parrot CK3000 Evolution kit 2nd hand and only subsequently found out that there is no control unit thing included. Will the rest of the kit work fine?

If not, does anyone happen to have a control unit handy?

This is what i'm talking about.

Sorry about photo size, don't know how to resize it.

You'll be able to pair to it if the memory isn't full. I don't think you'll be able to clear the memory though unless it wipes after not having power for a certain amount of time..

Cool, thanks for the reply Declan. That's reassuring.

Hopefully there is enough memory left in this thing. Otherwise I might need to borrow a unit from a fanatic to reset.

There's a UK based online shop which has replacement Parrot parts for very reasonable prices. If you need the controller let me know and I'll dig through my bookmarks for it.

Hey mate

sorry for the delayed reply - see below links. First one is the cheapest unit price by far but you have to factor in delivery from the UK. The last one is Aus based.

Yes, I am old and this is my first Bluetooth experience. Our car has a Parrot thing connected it seems and I have managed to get my wife's HTC to talk to it through the Business CD - so that's all good. I'm planning to get my mobile replaced with a Bluetooth type.

Serious questions:

1. Can the Parrot thingy/system cope with two mobiles on Bluetooth in the car at the same time or would one of the phones have to have Bluetooth off?
2. I take it that the steering wheel button with the talking head symbol is the answer/hang up button. What is the R/T button for? I can't make any sense out of the car's manual on this item.

Please be gentle with me.

1. I have had two mobiles in the car that have both been paired to the parrot at some stage, but... I'm yet to work out if it only pairs to the first one it detects. Also not sure what happens if both phones receive calls???

2. I use the talking head symbol button to answer calls. Also, when not in a call, a short press on that button activates Siri so I can start a call that way. A longer press on that button is the redial. Not sure what the R/T button does sorry.

Re: How to clear memory on Parrot Bluetooth kit

Yes, you can have 2 phones on at the same time however the ck3000 will only connect to the most recently used phone.

The talking head is as Brett said, the R/T is to hang up or cancel. Similar to pressing the end key on your mobile.

i once successfully erased a parrot's memory by getting it to drink methylated spirits. No more "hello cocky".
