I drink a lot of water throughout the day

and I always get water while working out from the water fountain

I will take it easy for another week and reevaluate

Legitimately track it for a few days. There's a good chance you'll be surprised.

Also, if you're working out hard, that 72-96 ounces might not be enough.

robbing with a sword is a good thing

some good news
i hit the gym in the morning
did benchpress up to 165lbs, no headache
didn't feel like "about to get the headache" feeling either
so that's really good

stayed with the hack squat machine
up to 225lbs for multiple sets
no headache

and my wrist feels fine now
and my shoulder hardly ever bugs me
so as long as the headache does not return, i am in the best condition since january of this year

felt great with no hint of the headache today

front and back squat up to 185lbs
felt a little heavy but at least no headaches

shoulder press 80lbs x 5 x 5 sets
felt normal

deadlift 225lbs x 5
felt easy ... i'll definitely try upping the weight next week

I gave up doing the hand/wrist bent back
Only do crossed arm in front (more like hands meeting under my chin and keeping elbows out and up)

not bad man. As long as you're upright, which you definitely are or the bar will tip, your working your legs just fine.

I do the same, I just don't have the flexibility to do the other grip. Got 205 up last week with the cross armed grip with no stability issues, and to be honest I don't see myself going too much heavier than that with this exercise.

I think fs will get easier if I develop some more shoulder and chest muscles to create a more stable shelf
185 is about as heavy as I can go with fs because the bar starts to roll during the motion
And I use my hands to keep the bar against my body as I stand up
Perhaps it's my elbow dropping
Will have to pay attention to it again

Exactly, I have pretty broad shoulders which helps with this grip, 205 was pretty stable but by the time I got to that weight my legs were exhausted (I do back squats first).

Try a day of just front squat
I like fs a lot
Works different muscles

I just don't see myself going above 300 lbs ever on front squats, I'm not close to that now as it is, just being realistic.

Would like to get up to working sets of 225 though. If and when I get here ill reevaluate the situation.

In a couple weeks when my legs are a little stronger I'm going to switch my routine up a little, sticking with what I'm doing now until I feel my legs have caught up with the rest of my lifts. I want to concentrate on back squats as I feel I have a lot if room to grow there.

5x5 workout A

bench
165x5 x 4 sets
155x5 x 1 set

squat
185x5 x 5 sets (4 sets back squat, 1 set front squat)

barbell rows
135x5 x 4 sets
155x5 x 1 set

added some dips, pull ups, and cable rows and lat pulldowns

i was tempted to try maxing 195lbs on the bench (previous max 185lb)... but didn't want to push it
the squats are lagging a bit but i was still a little scared about triggering the headache since the squat is when it happened
overall, i'm pretty much at 100%

I don't really do much for warm up
Just dynamic stretching while swinging and rotating arms while walking from the lockerroom to the weights area
And then a light weight set to begin
