headunit / changer / radio reception issues

Finally got some time and needing help. GF has 330ci and the FM radio doesn't work, the dvd player in the head unit doesn't work, and the stacker continually causes grief requiring me to pull the fuse on it to get it working again.

I am looking to address the stacker, headunit and radio reception issue.

Is it easier just to get a head unit of ebay and be done with it all ? or it there cheaper solutions to get this all working.

Ideally would like to get digitial radio going and MP3 and be done with it all... what have you guys done ?

What kind of headunit does the car have though? Wide screen, business radio?

What do you mean FM doesn't work, no sound or just static (like no antenna)? Probably worth checking out the antenna cables in the boot.

You can just unplug the stacker and run without it if you don't need CDs.

FM is just static.... Am works perfectly.

CD is needed as all that works at the moment is AM radio. I will take a pic of the head unit as i have no idea what the differences are.

I've got terrible FM reception (haven't tested AM) and I attribute it to the very dark tint on the car.

All the gear is in the boot, passenger side behind the carpet, the FM ant Module is in the C/Rear pillar behind the cover, I think on the passenger side.
