I was just putting that info out there. If you are a beginner its a good lens to start. If you are a budget I suggested you get the 18-105mm because you get an extra 50mm. Some people will go with the 18-55 and 55-200mm lenses or 55-300mm. Going with the 18-105mm you get more lens elements and you don't have to switch lenses as much if you would have gotten the 18-55mm and 55-200mm.

I think I mentioned the 18-105mm because of your budget.

Check out Jared shoot with a D3100 w/18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens

aka you can get great results from the kit lens if you know what you're doing. That's what I got from that video. Thanks for all the help i'll go with the D5200 with the regular 18-55 lens for now and the free memory card and extra battery.

D5200 with kit 18-55 lens is supposed to be delivered today. What memory card should I go with? Sandisk Extreme Pro?

Any reason I should go with a 64gb over 32gb?

Do you plan to take a ton of vids and pics between transferring files? I found 32gb to be perfect. Only reason I would want a 64gb is when I went cross country but then again I just transferred everything to my laptop.

Do you shoot videos? Do you think the extreme is fast enough? Or should I go for the extreme pro?

By the way, the camera just arrived. The bronze color is sexy. Might not look as "professional" as a black one, but hey, it's a hobby for me.

I have a question. Do you know what the difference between these two lenses are?

http://www.adorama.com/NK10528AFVRU.html

Is the used one just an older model?

Never mind. One is newer with AF-S and VR, the older one does not.
