BTW, OP, I'm sorry for trolling you, but I'm trying to save you...maybe you don't need it. Where would you say you are in Mangofying your car? I'm at about 16% coz I didn't lubricate my hoses like he does, and hose care is so fn high on his list.

You know of whom I speak, don't you. Our Grand Superpatriot Sport +. He does sermons for us in OT every Wednesday night...you should check it out.

A real sermon...sermon on the mount...and he literally streams himself, right there on motor mounts...well, just the one mount. He really likes his car's parts...like a lot.

She rubbed my ambers. I asked her if she wanted some polishing cream (had some in my trunk kit). Point of the story, Zepo, is that she didn't make a single comment about what I call my Fern Green. Next.

[Okay...how many knew I totally made this up? That I don't have green tires? And the rubber tape I carry in my trunk is for fixing?]

You're so innocent, Zep...now I feel bad.

I'd say clear or smoked. clear would probably look better with those headlights. If you are willing to get new headlights (black housing) I would go smoked corners/markers.

See my sig for my answer.

So many have changed to clear or smoked - leave the ambers.
Clear or smoked is a overdone fad, like fake carbon fiber, IMHO.

Ambers or clears?!

Amber all day on pre facelift sedans.

Smoked would look like **** on his car. It would not match his headlights.

Leave your car alone OP.

just curious how "clears" are a fad when they are factory equipment on many of the E46s.

Ambers or clears?!

Buy the clears, and switch them out every six months or so. I had clears for a couple years and when one broke, I put my ambers back on. I liked them. But it's been a few months and I want to go back to clear. I'll always like the clears better, but sometimes the orange can look fresh if you haven't seen it in a while

Many of them but not all. I think the brilliant engineers at BMW finally decided it looks better/cleaner as well. I'm 27 and the 4 cars I've had, put clears on every one. I think they clean up the look of the car and just makes the car look newer. I think a lot of companies are also eliminating the amber in the rear and going with just red/clear and having the turn signals blink red as opposed to amber.

In Europe it's considered "old fashion" to use amber sidemarkers.
Hardly NO cars are made with amber lights here, therefore I was surpriced my e46 2004 had amber light
when I bought it.
First I did was throwing out those old light and put in some decent clear sidemarkers with silver/amber
bulps.
Most cars in EU has left amber colors last century :-)

But I can see it's much different in the states, over there many cars still has the amber sidemarkers
