What do I do with these?

They're home grown ghost peppers (or some similarly hot variation) according to my father-in-law.

What do I make with these that won't kill me?

I usually slice jalapenos up and have them with tacos, burgers, etc. These peppers are more than 100 times hotter than that, so I won't be doing that, lol.

I'm thinking of using one of them in a huge pot of chili.

Make a salsa or paste? Paste would probably keep for longer.

Go to a bar and rub them on the rim of someone's beer bottle... Sit back and watch the fireworks!

If you remove the seeds and membrane you can retain the flavor while eliminating quite a bit of the heat. I like using them in a grilled shrimp marinade or in a hot sauce (not salsa). I find the flavor surprisingly sweet compared to other hot peppers.

They look like habaneros. Chop one up and put it in a curry. Make a youtube video of you crying after you eat it.

I had some indian food in Thailand where they used ghost chilis. When we ordered food to go, they asked how hot we wanted it and we said "as hot as you normally eat it". They asked 3 times if we were sure. Went back to the hotel room and ate it. It was pretty nuts. All the heat was in the front of the mouth and on the lips. We cranked the AC to 60 degrees and were drenched in sweat. My lips went numb. It was so spicy that it went beyond the "wow, this is spicy" effect and just entered the "wow, this is totally surreal" realm of pain. Probably similar to how it feels 1 minute after getting punched in the face. It was probably the best Indian food I've ever had.

Be careful if they're anywhere close to the ghost chili
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...ht=ghost+chili

If they're just habaneros then make a peach salsa Habaneros are sweet and pair well with fruit

Get two leeks and a some garlic and sautee for a tad. Add a half of sliced thin habanero, seeds removed, flesh only.
Add 2lb of mussels and a half bottle of cheapo pinot grigio, cover, steam for 10 or so minutes.
Serve with a side of crostini, top with fresh chopped cilantro.

You're welcome.

(Peach salsa... my man....)
