You really have no clue, do you? I encourage you to actually read up on what I posted, look into the community reinvestment act that started with Carter and look at the changes Clinton made. Fannie and Freddie were mandated to issues a certain percentage of their loans to the CRA. Read up on what people began to invest in when the US had a surplus during Clinton.

No clue?

I bought a house under Clinton's program, and never missed a payment. It was a responsible program that worked as intended. There was no mortgage default epidemic until after Dubya's moronic housing program. Your comrade's graph spells it out.

It's still Clinton's fault because without the economy at the time (which any president's economy would have flourished considering it was a tech boom, it had nothing to do with Clinton), people wouldn't have been hood rich and defaulting on mortgages they couldn't afford in the first place which the government required the banks to write.

Thanks Bill.

Doesnt matter what your own graph (or anyone who was an adult at the time) says about it.

Invent your own reality.

Your own graph proves that Dubya's $500 million downpayment giveaway caused the meltdown - years after Clinton left office.

Of course, Carter's program from 40 years ago had a lot to do with it too.

But if clinton didn't have the surplus, there wouldn't have been $500M to give away. He should have spent that money on things like shrimp on treadmills, helping pakistani farmers produce more mangos, and studying the evolution of waterfowl genitalia.

The clinton surplus was a problem that bush inherited.

Thanks Bill.
