Insured or uninsured individual in question?
ok, now "standardize" tailored healthcare where each person can be unique and different than the other.

to your second question, uninsured.

My point is, while I'll agree you can standardize each individual procedure (as with the list you provided), I don't think you can standardize a total comprehensive health care package, especially not for uncommon conditions.

Obamacare wouldn't be tailored me thinks either.
"Okay we fixed you up, now be on your way, thank you for your tax monies, next!"

Oh well I was thinking insured like myself. Can't speak for an uninsured person...

Not even mentioning the efficiencies of larger countries.

As divided as this country is, at least we are one.

I wasn't speaking of Obamacare. I was talking about your reference to making healthcare standardized into "products". Like I said, while I'll agree you can probably standardize each individual "common" procedure - you'll have to define what's common and sometimes what is common can go wrong, I don't think you can for a comprehensive package.

Person A's life will be different than person B's life. Neither will know what they need until they need it.

I was throwing Obamacare in there for all of the supporters in this thread, you know, little cues here and there, that hey this probably should be discussed.

If I worked in the healtcare industry, I would probably know more on this subject. Damn for not sticking it out in premed. We have reached an agreement. Alright next subject of the topic. Shall we read the 900+ pages of the bill?

They haven't lowered the standards of the bar exam, they just allow more people to take (and fail) it. You don't need to be a certified genius to be a doctor, most of them aren't.

If you can pass your boards, you can be a doctor. The AMA restricts admissions in a way not unlike the diamond people restrict output of one of the most common things on earth.

Let more doctors in, things will change. Competition works.
