A sad day for M3 lovers

So today I was at the grocery store and I walked passed a guy getting out of his 2 door probably 2011 or so m3 and I said to him "that's a sweet e92 man" and his response was "NO, this is an M3". I just kinda walked off and did a face palm, I just don't get how you'd own an m3 and not even knows its official name.

Wow.... People like that shouldn't own cars as amazing as these. Might as well give them priuses.

Some new BMW owners buy the car for the badge. They could give a rats ass which development it is, that's why I avoid conversation with people that drive something above 2006, because they aren't the enthusiasts that we are.

I actually drive an e90 but I'm extremely obsessive over it, but a lot of the newer BMW owners don't really keep up with all the little details

Guess what, hot shot - the car's official name is M3. Don't get your panties in a bunch because someone happened to purchase a vehicle without knowing the manufacturer's internal designation for the chassis.

Lol Wat the fuk are y'all talking about? People with cars 2006 and on aren't the same enthusiasts as you?? Well yeah you're right, we aren't driving a 2002 330i zsp. Why I avoid conversation with non M E46 drivers.

I drive an e90 and I even have to agree with them, there are a lot more post 2006 owners that just bought their car for what it is and don't know anything about, a lot of pre 2006 owners really do more stuff to their cars.

Maybe because its official name is M3, not E92? Cut the guy some slack, maybe it's his first BMW. I mean, it's not like he called it a beemer...

Yeah I agree. I've met one person in an e92 that loved his car and obsessed over it and everyone else I've talked to I could tell didn't really care which car they bought, as long as it was fast, luxurious, and wow'ed the co-workers.

No, I am not. Most of these people couldn't tell you when the last oil change was done or how many cylinders are in their engine. The times have changed get over yourself.
