Looking to change my diet

I am 19 years old, 157 pounds, and exactly 6 feet tall. I exercise 2 or 3 times a week. I have 18 credits to focus on this semester so I really do not have time to work out everyday. I am content with my body except my abdomen area and I suppose my calves need some work but that's irrelevant for now. I have a bit of belly fat that I want to cut so I can have a flatter stomach.

I think I need to change up my diet. Trying to stay away from sodas and fast food is not too difficult for me. I can control myself. The problem is that I just don't know what else to replace that junk food with.

Advice? If you could also link me to some meal plans or diets, that would be immensely appreciated. I can go purchase my own groceries once I figure out what I should be eating instead.

My Ride: Too many to list
A good start would be to look at the "grocery list guide" or whatever it's called, its a sticky in this forum. Has some good basic ideas on what to get.

Also, check out the "what did you eat today?" thread, plenty of good meals in there that people have posted up!

Looking to change my diet

The reason a picture is beneficial is because it helps not only us see what we're advising, but helps yourself see progress you've made. Trust us a picture goes a long way.

Re: Looking to change my diet

Nuts, fruits, vegetables and yogurt for snacks.

If it has a commercial, don't eat it.

Shop only from the outside of the grocery store.

Don't eat anything processed.

Keep carbs (bread and pasta) to morning or lunch, but no later.

Your thread is so simple and vague that this is about the best answer you'll probably get. Use common sense and use google. We're nice in the h&f section, but we're not going to write up everything for you (especially since you're new, sound like you have little to no motivation/dedication and sound like you'll like to make some excuses)

It's basically just self control man...
