I think each one attracts a different kind of woman.

And I can find merits in each type.

Coupe vs Sedan handling

Dodge Viper = Nascar hillbilly fan that hit the lottery. Not to mention they ride and drive like a diesel pickup truck.
Porsche 911 = classy stylish businessman with exquisite taste in fine automobiles.

Fast is not everything. The viper rides and drives like garbage, It's hard to get in and out of, and its just a cosmetic mess. It feels like they just threw a bunch of power and torque into a random mess of a body and didn't give it much thought. Acceleration is violent and feels almost dangerous. I consider myself a very good driver, I have lots of schooling and training in high performance driving, and I usually feel very comfortable in a sports car. Almost the feeling of being a part of the car if that makes sense. Whereas when I drive a viper I feel like I have no control whatsoever. It's a combination of a long hood, sitting extremely low, and all that power that just makes it unbearable to drive.

All you say I've read from other sources. Great car to break a record with, but I'm beyond wanting to own one. Guy driving looks like he's handling a bull.
Same was said about the original Cobra. Nasty uncomfortable car to drive. The more you know the more you come to appreciate what a masterwork the e46 is. So close to perfect in such a well balanced mix. No record breaker in any one area, but a champion for an eight hour road trip.

yeah, the Viper drives like garbage and there's only a handful of production cars that can best it at the Ring, because it's garbage.

My 330Ci will take any stock Viper at the Ring. If you doubt it, fly us there and bring a Viper.

If I lose, I'll come on here and publicly apologize.

( I had to try)

Uh no. Your 330 won't get below 8 minutes. Not even CLOSE to the viper in that video.

Re: Coupe vs Sedan handling

I suspect giving a public apology on here is an awfully small price to pay to be flown out there to give it a (futile) try. In fact, I'd like to make the same offer. Fly me out there (just to make sure you have a spare 330 for testing purposes) to try to beat the Viper and I'll publicly apologize if I lose. :p
