Broadway Statics Installed--Before and After

Well it has been almost a week since I have installed my brand new Broadway Static 500 coilovers and I now have time to post a few pics up.

A little about the install:

I bought them direct from the BWS website on August 4th.

PRICE: $1640.00 shipped to Kennesaw, GA.

They quoted me a 4-week build time and everything arrived on August 26th. Not bad!

My friend who is a GM at Kauffman Tire who has done many coilover installs performed the install in his garage. His manual quoted 4 hours of labor for a regular suspension install.

It took us about 4 hours on the dot to get them fully installed. Granted, as you can see by the pictures above, he had a nice lift in his garage and an air compressor- saved us loads of time. The fronts went in easy and were pretty self explanatory as far as install goes. The rears were another story. Took almost twice as long and was a bit more difficult, mainly due to trying to get the rear springs compressed on their perches. We also had to pull back all the trunk lining to get to the rear towers. BTW- the sound dampening looks like the same color metal as the car. We were freaked out when we saw this and thought we were screwed until we poked it.

So now for some before and after pics:

This is my 2001 330i with Sport and Premium packages. These were taken the day before the install. The setup is stock sport suspension on M68's,
225/245 Goodyear Eagle GTs.

The next day after install I got the car aligned. Having put about 150 miles on it, everything is now fully settled. At first the ride was a little bouncy, but since the 500 series comes set at full soft, I went up 12 clicks (24-way dampening). It feels SOO MUCH BETTER. Essentially rides the exact same as stock sport suspension. My girlfriend didn't notice a difference. I will say that you do feel the road a bit more, but that is to be expected of any coilover system.

This is full lock, no rubbing or grinding whatsoever!

All in all, I am most impressed with this suspension setup. The ride quality is superb, the handling is magnificent and it looks amazing. I can still go way lower in the rear and about an inch more in the front if I wanted. Customer service at BWS was great- they answered me the same day I had any questions and as stated previously, everything was shipped early, I was not missing any parts/needing any extra parts during the install.

This is a wonderful setup for our E46s and I suggest those of you looking to spend a little money for terrific quality, this setup is the way to go
