Good match, could have been better but a win is a win. Missed a couple golden opportunities to score, other than that I was satisfied.

Looking forward to see what happens before the transfer window shuts. I've been hearing/reading some chatter but who knows. Arsene doesn't exactly like to spend money.

You know a lot of arsenal fans dislike giroud. And for good reason. He's just a finisher. But he's been playing well of late imo

Yeah, it's pretty nice. The portrait of Rodgers on the wall is a bit much, but the club did give him a panamera too which is sweet

Oh did he get that car as a signing bonus? They should've done one called "Being Barcelona" or "Being Real Madrid" when Murinho joined...that would've been fun to watch...

Yeah I'm not quite sure why they did the LFC one. It probably has something to do with Fenway Sports Group being big in America and John Henry having the right connections to get it done. Certainly it's good exposure for the club. It also was a high-quality series...Clive Owen as the narrator? Pretty sweet.

Yeah, he got the car as part of the job as I understand it.

YNWA.
Liverpool looks good so far. Much stronger in midfield. Lucas looks much better and Gerrard is Gerrard -- my favorite player in the EPL. And the new keeper is a MAJOR upgrade from Pepe Le Pew. If there's one complaint so far its that they haven't finished some chances, but they're getting a guy back soon who can finish a little. If they were on 15 points when Suarez returns, he should be fired up to take Liverpool to the next level. He may end up glad he didn't leave.

So they essentially exchanged Ozil and 44million pounds (euros?) for Bale. I'm not sure I'd have swapped Ozil for Bale straight up.

Re: Any soccer fans?

Arsene had to do something. We needed a striker, podolski is out for at least three months and talks to bring ba in led to nothing. I think we did pretty well for an 11th hour transfer. Can't say ronaldo feels the same but fvck him.

Bale to Spurs
100m Euros to Spurs

Ozil to the Gunners
50m Euros to Madrid

Good bits of business all round, I'd say. Arsenal still a bit short up front, but they've got a killer looking midfield now!

Why is Real Madrid considered the end all and be all club in the world? I've never had this explaine to me.

Is it because of the amount of times they've won the European Cup? Is it because it's owned by royalty? Is it because it's Madrid? Like, what is it? It's like every football player in the world gets an immediate hard on if they're linked with Real Madrid. Why is it not the same for teams like Man U, Bayern, Juve/Inter/AC Milan?
