Congrats! Shame that the ms43 swap never finished, but I'm sure you'll enjoy your ZHP. If it isn't already at the latest software, I recommend updating it via WinKFP

Thanks man. There is still some hope for the swap...I have one last chance to make it work with the new, unbent fuel rail. It could be a massive air leak at the throttle body because I dremeled some of the opening wider to accommodate the adapter, but I just need to get it sold right now.

I had reset all adaptations when I took possession of it. That seemed to improve the hill climbing ability. Will update the S/W when I get a chance.

Needs VANOS rebuilt, DISA repaired and a new air filter. Popped MAF codes the whole way home because of the K&N in the stock box.

Hi there, since I change the MS42 for the MS43 I have in the cluster the Oil Pressure warning and the Oil Level Warning....
can any one please told me how do I need to connect the signal that came from both sensors (oil pressure and oil level) to my cluster?

well finally, after a long day of reading and searching and asking, I figure it out how to solve the OIL PRESSURE and OIL LEVEL cluster warnings......
For the OIL PRESSURE you need to do this:
- Take off from the DME X60004 the cable from PIN #11
- Reattach the cable in to PIN #8 in the X6011 plug

For the OIL LEVEL you need to do this:
- Take off from the DME X60004 the cable from PIN #21
- Reattach the cable in to PIN #9 in the X6011 plug

For the Battery signal you need to do this (this are incomplete, I need to search a little more):
- Take off from the DME X60004 the cable from PIN #1
- Reattach the cable in to PIN #2 in the X6011 plug
When you do this, the red battery icon turning on in the cluster, but after you start the car, the warning stay ON (aka red battery symbol), so, I forgot to do something else, do not know what, maybe one of you guys can tell me.....

The only two thing I need to figure it out are:
- How to connect the Reverse Switch light in to my cluster, since I use to have automatic transmission, now, I put manual transmission, and the WDS told me that I have from the Cluster and the plug X11175 one cable in PIN #4 that are attach directly in to the X60004 Pin #19 for the reverse, but don{t know why, I have a blank spot in PIN #19 in the X60004, but I have a yellow cable in the X11175 in the cluster..........
- Solve the battery warning red light that always stay ON.

regards,

Just took a quick gander at bmwfans.info

Re: MS42 < MS43 Compatibility Thread...

Well I started the 328i yesterday after working all day. It was quite a joyous occasion. The engine sounds rough and I couldn't drive it because as soon as I took off the jumpers it sputtered out and died. Oh well.

So when do we look into running the MS45.0?

Excellent thread very informative. I'm hoping this will help me figure out how to get rid of the check engine light on my car. I did a b25 to b30 swap awhile ago and ever since I have had the running lean code coming up. I assume I need a flash but I really dont want to pay the 800 dollars everyone's quoting me to do it, so I have been working on learning how to use NFS, winkpf, and a whole list of other programs so I can the flash the dme to run the 330 motor. Ill keep doing research but if anyone has any suggestions on what exactly I need to do with working with the programs and/or anything else that might help me fix the error code please any help would be appreciated.
