iPhone 5 with diy bluetooth phone update

I ran into an issue with my new iphone 5 that I figure others that did delmarco's Parrot install diy (see thread on this forum) might also face. Over the years, as each new iphone came out, I was able to pair my iphone 3g, then 3gs then 4 then 4gs with the install as is and had no issues. Then with the new iphone 5 it wouldnt pair up and here is how to fix it.
Go back to delmarco's excellent diy and refresh your memory...just pull out the glove box and find the Parrot steering wheel controller (that we were instructed to tuck away in the back behind the glove box assembly) make sure your system is fired up and press the red and green buttons at the same time until the womans voice tells you that it is erasing memory...pull up your settings menu under bluetooth and wait a bit and your iphone should show the typical pairing routine (password should me 1234) and once you do that all will be good again. Hope this helps someone facing the same issue...

Just re-installed my Parrot 3100 after sending it back to Parrot for updating (free) to the latest version (5.xx). Purchased a Android (Razr M) a year a go and no matter what I did it would not pair like my prior phones. Deleted all memory, but still would not. Updated version now allows it to pair, synchronized (phone contacts on phone). Parrot admits that Iphone are easy to pair with the units, but Androids are not programmed to pair (easily).
Interesting that my phone recognizes and states that it is paired with the Parrot. But the Parrot unit says it is paired with an unknown device.
