It's very very easy. The only hard part is getting enough leverage to get the rear bolt off. But even that seemed very easy. If your hands are small you're golden.

Then you're in luck because the rear bottom bolt is connected to the oil filter housing as far as I know. So just disconnect the top bolt and then pull it off with the filter housing

My Ride: 325i
hi , i need some help!!!! my 325i has been heating up of late. So naturally i started with a process of elimination . i started with a change of the hoses, blower motor, thermostat change and i bleed the system . By doing all the changes i thought i had fixed the problem but when i decided to the take the car for a spin the engine started heating up and i had to stop several times to let it cool off before i could top off the coolant . i also noticed that my fan is not kicking on to cool the engine , and that when i run the car with the hood open it does not overheat for over 30 minutes . someone please help!this problem is crippling me !!

@vsbecks: Did you check the aux fan to see if it turns on? and also if there is a ton of debris covering your radiator or a/c condensor it wont let air into your engine. So when you leave your hood open a bit, it lets more air in and keeps it cool.

@cwspeakman: do you need a picture of the plug with the wiring? I have a 2001 330i I think these are all the same plug and wiring though.
