Need a Multi-Purpose ladder

I need a multi-purpose ladder that I can change light bulbs by hand on a two story ceiling and then do short stuff and get on the roof etc. What do ya'll recommend?

^ This, either Little Giant or Werner. Both make great ladders and the multi-purpose ones are the best. More expensive but then you don't have to buy and store two ladders.

I don't think that one get's high enough, I need a ladder that reaches up to ceiling of second story when in A-Frame mode, I don't think either of those go that high.

If you need it, it's worth it but that's up to you.

My advice? Pay someone with the right tools to replace the bulbs with LED bulbs and don't worry about it for the next 20-25 years. Still get the above ladder in 17-22ft lengths as they are great to have around.

Probably either of those would be fine. You definitely don't need an electrician to come and do this, just someone with a big ass ladder.

I use Angie's list for finding vendors for various things, works great if you have a membership. Anyway, just look for an ad or Google for a handyman service. They should be able to help you out.

get an illegal alien that hangs out in front of 7-11 or home depot.......that way if they fall off the ladder you can just put them in the car, tell them you are taking him to the hospital, drive to the INS office, dump him in the ditch and drive off real quick..........

Can you just use something like this:

Maybe get a Little Giant ladder to use along with it for those extra high bulbs.

I'd start calling handymen if I could find it in the phone book and just ask if they can replace a light bulb that high. Might get somewhere eventually, especially if they say no and you ask if they know anyone else.

Definitely look into LED bulbs. I didn't like the light from them at first, but I just picked some up from Lowes for under $10 a piece and they have a real nice soft white light.

How powerful are they for $10 a piece?

I got 40 Watt cheap ones because I can reach my bulbs and I like the light, but they are rated or 23 years or so. They only use 8 watts to light up. But the Sylvanias are a lil more I think the 60W equivalents were pushing 20 dollars, 75W were 30, and the 100W were the most expensive.

What wattage are you looking for? The light color for mine were rated at 2700K and look just like a soft warm glow, 3000K is the most common and anything above that starts to get a bright white blue color.
