Jeff, thanks for the info provided so far (in my own topic as well), but I have a question about the USB and SD connectors: I read a post somewhere from someone who had an issue with the Dynavin showing the files and folders on SD and USB in a weird order, I have that as well.

Your reply was to use DriveSort and I tried this, but still I get all my music mixed up. That's not really a concern when I'm listening to CD's with various artist, which I'd mix anyway, but when I play albums (i.e. Soundtracks) that have a certain order for a reason, it gets annoying.

Any other idea?

Help, I have the unit installed in a 528 wagon. For the most part I am happy with it, although I wish it had a xm/sirius option. Anyway, The thing that drives me crazy is that it will only connect with 1 Bluetooth device, once it is connected, I cannot figure out how to disconnect it. When my partner drives the car, we cannot get it to pair with her phone. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? If I can't sort it out, I will have to get rid of the unit as the bluetooth connectivity was one of the main reasons I bought it.

Just connect from the other phone....you don't do anything from the Dynavin.

E46 Backup Camera

I have seen a couple people mention that they have installed the E46 backup camera that Jeff sells. I purcased the camera but have been having trouble finding a path to run the camera wire through the license plate light housing (drivers side). There is an existing opening underneath the lightbulb but I think the heat generated from the bulb along with the wire touching the metal supports make this not an option. I've tried to drill a hole through the housing but I've hit wire and do not feel that the drill bit would make it though. Luckly I did not severe any wire. Can anyone provide some input?

Thanks

Is there any Install guides for the flush mounts?

IM not really sure where the go. Ive seen some under the armrest in the coin holder, is that where it will go?

Is there a way to hide the iphone cord other than the glove box?

where and how you mount them is up to you, most people put them under the armrest as its hidden, easy to mount, and easy to access. Its not necessary though, the dynavin comes with a USB extension that you can simply run to the glove compartment.

For the ipod cord, on an E46 I prefer to run the cord to the area by the emergency brake boot, you can fold/tuck the wire down next to the ebrake when not in use and its pretty much invisible, but very accessible if you are plugging in a lot (like when using an iphone). You can then stick your phone in the cupholder.

Dynavin info: D99 PLUS (D99+)......Fall 2012

Hi guys
I bought a 99+ (from the South African agent) and just installed it after reading through this thread.
Thanks Jeff it would not be possible without your thread, if I lived in your country I would most certainly have bought it from you!!

The only thing I can't get any info on is setting it up to show obd info, please tell me what I need and how do I set it up.

Kind regards
Johan

Ok I found it.
I could not get the touch screen to scroll to the second page by clicking the arrow so I wasn't aware of it. I accidentally found it now I can scroll there by swiping my finger across the screen but still not by clicking on the arrow.

yes, you swipe the screen, the arrows just indicate the two screens.

too many variables here..... card format, file format, physical card, directory structure, etc... start small, put a few mp3s on a card, build up from there.

I suspect I have an antenna problem, I use to have perfect reception but since I installed the 99+ I have no radio reception at all. I have read that these cars has an antenna amplifier but I cannot find any detail or a diagram for it. I've been struggling with this for a week now with no progress at all. Please help.

You either have a bad connection at the antenna plug behind the dynavin or you need a powered antenna adapter. Read the FAQ on my website, #10 if I recall.

Jeff, I cannot find that file you ran in the video with your winc. And going in my entertainment and choosing my music works fine. But I cannot control it from the wheel and my sub doesn't turn on..

According to your website the power antenna adaptor is only for pre 2002 cars, mine is a 2004 330Ci cabrio (facelift). I also checked an re-checked the connections they're all very firm?

In that case you could have a bad or damaged antenna adapter.

I actually have a few concerns, for some reason when I want to start my navigation, it makes me calibrate the screen. Then when I get to this page Chinese crap comes up.. Click image for larger version

So then I go to the settings and choose my file and this is what I get.
Then I open up the folder and go to storage card and this is what I get then. Click image for larger version

Then I hit Primo and then I get this.. Click image for larger version

Name:	ImageUploadedByBimmerApp1379107804.792629.jpg
Views:	51
Size:	94.9 KB
ID:	526434 Then I run the Primo on the bottom and then I am able to start the navigation. But it seems like I have to do that every time I turn on the car. Just to get to my navigation. But that still does not fix why my language is Chinese when I hit the navigation, then when I follow all the steps I just showed you, everything else is English. Click image for larger version

ID:	526435 After I just did everything I showed you in the pictures, I finally load the navigation and everything is English. I just don't understand why everything is Chinese all of a sudden when I hit the button.
