It would be easier to diagnose the issue if you provide the manufacturer and model of your AR and BUIS, and pictures.

I picked up a new Rainier Arms/Samson 15" handguard to replace the 13" VTAC Alpha on my 16" class gun. I also wanted to change out the A2 for the Battle Comp that was on another AR. Unfortunately, because of my suppressor I have to torque my muzzle devices to 45ft/lbs AND rockset them. This makes removal...difficult. Since I just received the Geissele Reaction Rod, it was time to make the changes.

13" VTAC Alpha

15" Rainier/Samson with the thermal bushings

Reaction Rod made the installation of everything a breeze

Anyone have this upper??? ---->>> http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...ng-handle.html

Any thoughts on this?

I'd like to build my 2nd AR to shoot 100-300yrds with decent accuracy with a scope. I just don't want to buy a dud....

It's basically the same barrel as an M16A4. It's made by FN. Decently accurate, and probably 1-1.5 MOA or better reliably with match loads. If you want a high accuracy barrel, you should be looking for a heavier stainless barrel.

I got the same exact reply where I posted this elsewhere.

Damnit.

The problem with the standard carbine and rifle barrels is that there generally aren't any consistent accuracy guarantees. Case in point- my agency has some M4s that are easily sub-MOA accurate. Some of them are 2MOA rifles. This is with Hornady duty ammo, which is known to be one of the more accurate LE duty ammos out there, with match grade performance. So it all depends on which one you get.

It's like a mall ninja bonanza. Wouldn't mind having a free 1k rounds of ammo, though.

Put about 200 rounds through the new AR today. Shoots very nicely. The LW upper is amazing, and the difference is really apparent between it and the sig556.

Silver Eagle Group in Ashburn. It's a nice place. Even nicer that I can typically get in free.

Where do you go now?
Like NOVA said, SEG is nice. If you aren't looking to rent, the NRA range is nice as well.

Thanks. Any outdoor ranges you guys recommend? (found a few online but haven't checked them out)

Just relocated from Austin in Oct. and haven't gone shooting since I got here. I won't need to rent.

There's one in warrenton that I hear is OK, but you have to use their ammo.

what do you guys think of the Sig Sauer M400? Im thinking to buy a pre-made AR before i start tinkering with building my own.

I have my eye on the M400 Swat which is pretty basic M4clone but instead of the typical handguard it has a quad rail, also comes with the carry handle sight which i like aesthetically.

you can do a lot worse than a Sig DI rifle.
