Fife BMW dealership

So went in today to get a new key. Guy went out to initialize the key and couldn't figure out how to start the car.

I know that the E46 is a few generations old, but what the heck.

I suppose on the plus side, once I showed him how to start the car he got it initialized with no problem.

For parts stuff I use Seattle BMW. They work with you on price too. Last week I had to purchase a cold weather variant of the CCV dip stick hose. Most online want north of $23. They initially quoted $26+change. I told them that was more than the retail quoted in the ETK. The parts guy said, "what's that". LOL - he's using it. anyway mentioned it is BMW's electronic catalog that the service centers subscribe too. He said, "ok, $20 even and it will be at the counter." Previously they quoted $7/ea for the reinforcement plate bolts. I told them that seemed pretty steep to me the parts guy said, yeah - I can do $2.50/ea.

I'll keep going to them. I used to have warranty work done by them and they always treated me fair.

I purchased the car from Fife BMW, and never went back

Fife BMW dealership

I also had a bad experience at BMW of fife. I took a few cars there to get a ppi done and have that feeling that I am wasting their time and kinda just rush me out the door. I went in today to get some clips and they were pretty snobby and made me wait as they helped more important people with their car. I try to avoid going there but it is the closest stealership near me.

That's exactly it. I picked my car up there but when you go in for parts or something they have this why waste my time with your crap attitude. I used to live in Bellevue and played keep up with the Jones at one time. I don't need that anymore.

I called all three dealerships to see who was the cheapest for the keys and Fife was it. Seattle was the most expensive. Though I didn't try and negotiate it down. Maybe I should have. On a side note, Portland BMW had the cheapest price for keys, at approximately $160.00...but then the time and gas going down there would eat all your savings.
