My Ride: 2003 M3 Convertible
FS: 2003 M3 vert $16,999

Greetings! After an 8 year love affair, it is now time to sell my M3. My wife has been suggesting for a couple years that it was time for me to get a newer car. The problem, as you can appreciate, was that I couldn’t find anything else that excited me. The only thing that got my interest was adding a supercharger to boost the juice! But then this new hot babe came into my life and took me by surprise…more on that later.

My M3’s a 2003 vert that I bought in 2005 from the original owner with 6000 miles. He was a surgeon with a stable of exotic cars, about to take delivery on a new AMG, and needed the room in his garage. I have kept her completely original, always garaged, and driven very lightly (I’m an engineer so I can’t help it). She’s never been modified, tracked, or launched, so the subframe is perfect. She’s been immaculately maintained, serviced by BMW dealers while under warranty and by exotic car specialists more recently. Only one minor accident, a 5 mph tap on the front, repaired at the dealer using only new OEM parts. This is a very clean car, with a clean CARFAX, and very few signs of wear.

I’m in the Tampa, Florida area, and I am pricing her at $16,999 to give room for transportation expenses.

The details:
• Clean CARFAX, copy available upon request
• Silver Gray Metallic with rare Imola Red Leather
• Options:
- Sequential Manual Gearbox
- Xenon Headlights
- Harman-Kardon Sound System
- Silver Gray Metallic
- Lumbar Support
- Aluminum Interior Trim
• Serviced by Bert Smith BMW, St Petersburg, FL, and Lutz Performance, Tampa, FL (have all service records)
• Immaculately maintained, current through Aug 2014 / 15,000 miles

Recent Maintenance:
• New tires all around (Continental Extreme Contact DW)
• New brakes all around (BMW Euro cross-drilled rotors, rebuilt & powder coated calipers, ceramic pads, pad sensors, stainless steel brake lines, Super Blue brake fluid)
• New battery
• New oil change
• New AC control unit & blower motor final stage resistor

Original Window Sticker:
• Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price $54,500.00
• Options and Additional Charges:
• Silver Gray Metallic 475.00
• Imola Red Leather Included
• Black Soft Top Included
• Lumbar Support 400.00
• Park Distance Control (backup sensors) Included
• Rain Sensor (for windshield wipers) Included
• Xenon Headlights 700.00
• Harman-Kardon Sound System 675.00
• Aluminum Interior Trim 300.00
• Sequential Manual Gearbox 2,400.00
• Destination Charge 695.00
• Gas Guzzler 1,300.00
• Total Suggested Retail Price $61,445.00

So now the story about why I’m selling. After about 6 months of dreaming, I just found an amazing deal on a 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with under 2000 miles. For the very few who haven’t heard, the 2013-14 GT500 is the last iteration of the Shelby Mustang after 49 years. It has a 5.8 L supercharged engine with 15 psi boost, is rated at 662 hp and 631 ft-lb of torque, with a top speed of 202 miles per hour. It posts a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and a quarter mile time of 11.6 seconds at over 125 miles per hour, making it faster than both the Camaro ZL1 and Corvette Z06. This is better than sex, drugs, and rock and roll, all combined. I’m like a teenager who just bought his first hot rod!

Guten Tag! I am motivated to make a deal on my M3 before the end of Oct to pay for gas for my Shelby... I've had some offers, but nothing I would consider serious for such a clean low mileage e46 vert. If you're really interested in owning such an amazing vehicle at a great price, now is the time to act!
