Gauge cluster wiring

Took some pictures tonight from behind my gauge cluster and found a few wires cut and not attached I'll post some pics to show what I'm looking at. Theres a yellow wire that was cut. I hooked it back up and it triggered the brake pad lights so I'm assuming that's what that wire went to. 2002 325ci

Theres also a green and black wire coming up thru the dash not sure what this wire is ment for or goes too

There was a brown wire cut, i soldered it back together and didn't notice any change.

Also there is a blue/green wire with nothing hooked to it coming out of the connector.

Not attached to the gauge cluster is two blue wires seem to be coming up from the center console that were electric taped. The car was retrofitted with factory nav unit by a previous owner. No blue tooth

Car has a m3 gauge cluster. Previous owner did this also. Everything seems to work but the speedometer/odometer and the wheel sensor is not the issue with it. I've been dealing with this issue for awhile. I can't figure it out. Thought it had something to do with the retro fit, but the vss hasn't been touched. Nav unit doesn't pick up mpg or average speed. Something isn't hooked up, or previous owner cut a wire.

What are the functions of these wires that are cut? Or what did they go to at one point. I cannot find a dash wiring diagram.

Do you have the original cluster?
I'd rather put that back than fixing PO's hack job.

No i don't have the original cluster, im not sure why the po cut a few wires, i just want to know what the wires he cut were ment for, and was wondering if the blue wires coming from the right side of the dash have something to do with the nav unit. When people do the nav retrofit what color wire taps into the vss or speed pulse wire? I need to pull the nav out and see what wiring is behind it.

The m3 cluster works fine, all lights work, tach etc, just no speedometer/odometer

Re: Gauge cluster wiring

I went thru the second menu screen on the navigation and went to the wheel sensor option. I am getting a reading there and it goes upward as i speed up in the car. When i do the secret menu on the gauge cluster go to test #7 I have no reading for the speedometer. What does this conclude? That my wheel sensor is good and there's something wrong between the nav unit and gauge cluster? Still trying to track down why my speedometer odometer doesn't work.
