What common wheels fit on the e46?

I'm looking for a set of cheap wheels hopefully with tires to use for auto-x.

I just started autocrossing and I don't want to tear up my normal tires to much as they are pretty new. I'm looking for some wheels and tires to put on during events to save my normal tires from the wear.

I'm thinking of going to a salvage yard and have been looking on craigslist. Does anyone know what kind of cars would have the same fitment as an e46? I want to know what to look for on craigslist or at a salvage yard.

Why not just find another set of wheels off of an E46? You know they'll fit.

That's definitely my first choice. I just wanted to see if I had any other options if I go to a salvage yard and there are no e46 wheels there.

for a 17" wheel look for some style 68's. they come in 7.8 and 8.5 wide. They can be had for around $200 just wheels or 5/600 with tires. decently light too for stock wheels. they are 20/22 pounds each. they are around the lightest stock wheels.
