Thoughts on Volvo C30

I've always thought this was a neat little car. Has anyone ever owned one? Thoughts on maintenance on a Volvo vs. BMW?

I'm in the market for a used car (sub 17,000) and this one is definitely on the list.

Any help is appreciated!

Re: Thoughts on Volvo C30

I had one as a loaner when I had my s60. It's fun and responsive car. The aftermarket selection is pretty good and can wake up that motor. Volvo maintenance is way cheaper and most the recommended stuff doesn't really apply. Just keep up on the timing belt and major stuff and your good.

Volvos are very good cars. If you find a C30 t5 at a good price, jump on it.

Re: Thoughts on Volvo C30

From what I understand the new T5's are not different other than the interior and some body trim. The last real T5's are the last generation of v70 and s60's

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll definitely do a little more research. Just wish the c30 came in a 4 door hatch!
