This isn't a situation that is worthy of penalty. The contact was the equivalent of a baby shrugging an adult (..or the equivalent of accidentally stepping on somebody's loose shoestring causing their foot to catch). The outcome is unfortunate, but not worthy of some drastic penalty on behalf of Race Direction. Hell, Marquez wasn't even riding in his normally aggressive fashion at Aragon. The bump that he gave Lorenzo to take the win was far more reckless and over-zealous (..but it worked!!!!).

I, too, don't think he'll get penalized by the board as it was discussed that Dani may have over-downshifted (?) which added to the cause of the incident.

However, with the way to leader board is shaping up to do - I do see Honda telling Dani to stay out of Marquez's path to success... poor Dani, like the broadcasters said, always the bridesmaid...

Marquez is definitely killing it this season. As long as Lorenzo doesn't win, I'm happy. I'm just not a Lorenzo fan. I really wanted this to be Dani's year, butttttttttt................

Oh, I'm not saying whether or not he was deserving. Just incidents where a bump threw another guy out of sync.

Marquez will definitely win the champions. I'm a big Vale fan, because it's just so damn hard to not like him.

So is Crutchlow going to succeed on the Ducati where hayden and dovizioso haven't?

*edit* AND Rossi

As for Ducai:

Quote:
Andrea Dovizioso has levelled criticism at the Ducati factory for not sorting out the difficulties he and Nicky Hayden have experienced this year by saying it is the fault of the people who have not fixed the bike.

The Italian, who will partner Cal Crutchlow next year, is clearly frustrated by a lack of progress since testing at Sepang and says that he is already worried about 2014 as both Honda and Yamaha are already testing next year's bike.

"We have to be worried. The reality is in front of everybody. I can't speak about 2014 because the details are not clear. We are in a difficult situation," said Dovizioso, speaking at Aragon.

"The key point is not the bike. If until now we didn't fix the problem it means the bike is the consequence of the problem, so we have to fix a different point, not the bike now but is difficult. The problem is the people who try to fix the problem."

If they didnt so jack to dani back in 06 when he actually knocked Nicky off they shouldn't do anything to Marquez.

I saw something about Audi doing a revamp at Ducati next year. I hope it's enough.
Hayden to aspar Ducati next year it seems. Meh. Think he would've been nasty in WSBK.
Oh well.

There's an interview somewhere in video, but here's Rossi's thought on Ducati. I can't say he's wrong. Dovi and Hayden have both been critical with the Duc. I just do not see where Crutchlow will succeed. Granted he had great results on a 2nd tier bike, but Ducati just seems to be a few steps behind.

He won't do any better. He's only going there because he wants a factory bike and the huge pay raise while he's still young and marketable.

Kinda can't blame him.

Local store had a great sale today, 20% off almost everything. I picked up a 1 piece alpinestars Motegi suit. Pretty stoked to hit the canyons with this!

after buying the ducati, I rode up to Camp Fretterd, MD (just NW of Baltimore) to complete my annual training. I took the back roads up there, across the Harry Nice Bridge and up rte 301. I had driven down one night, picked up the bike and gone back up. After getting back there, they told me they didn't need me anymore, and I should head out to West Virginia to help out there, since we had a big accredidation going on. So I had to ride the brand new bike all the way out I-70 and I-68 to get there. PITA drive, especially for being brand new to a sportsbike..
