(Project) black 330i

Thought I'd start a thread to document the progress of my 2001 M-sport (zsp) 330i. Bought the car with just over 107k miles on it, appeared to need nothing immediately although I planned on some maintenance items.

Goals for this year :
coilover setup
get rid of amber lights
get rid of wood trim
short shifter mod
lightweight flywheel & new clutch
window tint

will post photos soon. The last week or so I've spent buffing and polishing so theres compound in all the nooks and crannies on the car to clean out before i can get some clean photos. Also did vapor barrier repair already and figuring out a fast blinker right after i complete this paragraph!

I def like where you're headed so far with the one. funny I did the same exact things the first month I had the car. Painted the grills black within first few days but couple of the clips were broke so I bought a set of black ones. started on the interior trim doing a couple pieces at a time and I chose silver carbon fiber on black interior. TiAg exterior. had clear corners they were ok but I like smoked better on Silver. Tint was probably done the 2nd month i had it. Also had my wheels off my e36 to swap on right away so that helped. Then a few more things here and there of course. On black I like the look of red/smoked/red if you haven't purchased already. either will look good. just my $.02. Nice car and good luck. I miss having a black BMW.

I ordered a drivers door vapor barrier, thinking the extreme tears in it had to be the cause of my trouble. Then I found the real cause.

Water is filling the abs/dme compartment in the engine bay, coming through the wiring harness, along the front door sill and depositing mainly in the back seat floor well. **** my life. So I'll be cleaning drains today...

New rear meats. 255/40r17 lil bit wider ill bit taller sidewall matches the front better. No abs problems, no trac problems. I shut trac off all winter anyhow. Also no rubbing. Will see how it looks once I get some spacers and lowering kit.
