Angel Eye install help

I bought a multi-color pos kit off of eBay and did not receive any instructions. I am new to wiring and need advice on how exactly to install these. Each light connects to IR controller and on the controller is a power cable, with red and black wire. I'm aware red is + and black is ground but whereabouts do I "tap" them into? I've read within the ECU is a red/gold wire, but everyone saying this has a different kit with relays etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks guys..

P.S the wires look rather short so what could i connect to it to extend it or how would I connect it? Tap, solder? Whichever is easiest. Also, I'd prefer to have them on at all times or fog light switch, just whichever is easiest to do. Im very flexible
